If it’s not from France,
it’s not Champagne!
Champagne isn’t a
style of wine, it’s actually a region in Northeast France
where this famous sparkling wine comes from.
Nothing says
"Celebrate!" quite the way Champagnes do. Festive and
versatile, they can be savored with an enormous range of
foods.
Every Champagne is
a blend of wine, made from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and
often Pinot Meunier grapes. However, every producer has
its own special blend, which is its distinctive signature.
Non-vintage Champagne is created by an individual
house and maintains a consistent style from year to year.
It is aged three years before being sold, so it is ready
to drink when you buy it.
Vintage Champagne : A vintage (the year a wine is made)
is declared only in years when the harvest is considered
extraordinary.
Prestige cuvée is generally a vintage Champagne,
produced only from the best of a particular year’s harvest
